No, that’s not the grievance of a 20-something Wall Street protester. It’s the bleak recent assessment of Vice President Biden.

His view is broadly shared by the public – and backed up by official government data. Indeed, the belief that things have gotten worse for middle-income Americans, not only during the Great Recession but over the past three decades, has cemented into the kind of conventional wisdom that could drive the 2012 presidential campaign.

There’s just one problem: It’s not true.

  2. When Democrats can't screw the rich anymore, they turn to the middle class. Higher toll fees, property taxes, fines (new fines), etc. Plus, the kids get something new: curfew, and the hefty fines associated with it. We can thank Obama's boys for that one.

Who favors importing millions of illegal immigrants to keep working class wages low, and millions of H-1b workers to keep middle class wages low?

    The Democrats.

Who wants to raise my taxes?

    The Democrats.

Who has steadfastly stood up for the over generous public employee pensions that are now bankrupting our states and municipalities, and forcing higher taxes in a recession?

    The Democrats.

Who is eager to have you discriminated against in employment or university admissions if you are white?

    The Democrats.

Who stood up against Republican attempts to make Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac have stricter standards in the mortgages they bought, and thus brought about the mortgage crisis?

Barney Frank and Chris Dodd, along with other Democrats.

The Republicans suck in their very own way but the Democrats are no alternative.

  7. This one is on the Republicans also. Both parties are equally guilty of depressing wages .

On the rest you are 100% correct.

On the matter of H-1b workers, your are correct. Both parties are equally guilty. On illegal immigration, while there are some pro-illegal immigrant Republicans, like Rick Perry and Dick Armey, 95% of all congressional opposition to illegal immigration comes from Republicans.
