GWB hit the nail on the head. its perception. You can't hire someone who dresses like a woman (who is a man) and prefers to role play a dog in sex acts and expect foreign countries to take you seriously. Or Americans. You may wish it to be different, but it isn't.
There was a time when "blacks" and women in the workplace were considered shocking. We'll get through this. Conservatives are supposedly all for meritocracy, right?
Oh, come now. There was, indeed, a time when it was shocking to some that women or african-americans in the workplace was shocking. But that is nothing at all like this. Hiring a sexual deviant and putting them in a visible position of the government is a big difference. You do realize (hell, maybe you don't) how this hurts the political chances of your "team", do you not? Or maybe you think the majority of the voting population of the United States supports this?
Remember Rick Perry.....Trump's pick to run the Department of Energy? Rick Perry is Trump's pick to run Energy. He once forgot the agency's name. "I will tell you, it's three agencies of government when I get there that are gone. Commerce, education, and the, um, what's the third one there..." Perry couldn't name the third one. When pressed by the moderator to name the third agency, he responded, "I can't, sorry. Oops."
Is that like when Biden forgot what the US Constitution was? "You know...the thing..." As least Rick didn't like to dress as a dog with a collar and high heels and be pulled along during sex. That we know of, of course.
Your last question is the bandwagon fallacy. As I said before, the guy with all the tattoos (self-inflicted birthmarks I call them, making me rather unpopular with the 'tat' crowd) was skilled. I didn't care about my own opinion, much less that of everyone else. A conservative is someone who stands astride history and shouts "stop!" Uncomfortable with change and with 'other'. I get it.
Most businesses, school systems, government jobs, etc. in North Carolina have pretty strict rules about no visible tattoos. Maybe if someone wanted a job as a backroom truck mechanic they could be inked up all over -- but not in most professions here.
Stormy said Trump liked to be spanked with a magazine he was on the cover of.. Stormy Daniels Confirms She Spanked Donald Trump With a Magazine CBS just released the transcript of Stormy Daniel’s 60 Minutes interview. Right off the bat she confirms our story that she spanked Donald Trump with a magazine he was on the cover of.
As much as I dislike tattoos personally, I think that attitude is wrong. It caters to the worst in people, and is un-meritocratic, which is the essence of why a "backroom truck mechanic" can be visibly tattooed. Anyway, "everyone around here is doing it" is a failed argument.
