Congress appropriates funds, not the President.

Yes, yes, yes, let's talk about anything, anything at all but how Biden is handling COVID problems and inflation. Discussion of real problems is too inconvenient.

The President submits the budget and signs it into law.

It's not about the man, it's about the policies he instituted.
    74M voters agreed.
You don't need a 5 year study investigating field mice to build an off-ramp from an interstate highway.
People that are 100% already dying should be offered "the right to try" with experimental drugs.
    Stop the flow of illegals.
    Cut taxes on start-ups.

I could list a dozen more.
Who cares if the man was whore in a previous life(?), I don't.
Who's gonna cast the first stone?
Deal with the here and then.
America was better off when he was running the show.
Taiwan was safer, Nato paid up, and Putin wasn't amassing troops at the Ukrainian border waiting for the ground to freeze so he could roll in.

Just calling it like I see it Tony.
    The facts are unarguable.
    Case closed.

  7. Only Congress can offer relief from student debt but Biden has- and has used- limited provisions in the statutes to offer relief to some very narrowly defined groups. - see attached article for a quick summary.

So you might ask then, "well then when does the attempt to get Congress to enact it come up for a vote?" The answer is not pretty. It was hidden in the mega Build More Bullshit Bill that Manchin torpedoed. I think they took it out and immigration out too when the going got tough with Manchin and when the media began to expose more and talk more about the hidden features of the bill. Joe was trying to satisfy the progressives on student loan relief by using special categories to put some duct tape and bondo on it until it was passed either in the BBB or if it looked like the votes were there for a separate bill. Of course the appetite for more is not there now and if it is, the student loan relief will be in line behind the BBB which is a tough spot to be in considering they have other stuff such as the child credit payment extensions that they want more. As Margaret Thatcher said, "Socialism works fine until you run out of other people's money." They be having more needs than they have other people's money right now. Oh, that's right. "Paid for." What was I thinking.

Yeh, they don't really have a plan now. Joe can use emergency powers to maybe defer payments a month or two here and there if the pandemic gets more rowdy but that does not mean the debt is written off.

    What a mess.
