No doubt there are many voting and redistricting scams going on that will get them some extra votes. They do that part well. In regard that redistricting in NY, yeh, they got a scam going there with the redictricting that will - in theory- get them some more seats. On the other hand, I have heard some pundits say that if dems do as badly as they appear to be doing that that might still not save them. The redistricting gives them an edge- all things being equal- except things are not necessarily equal now. Many of the dem voters last time are not going to be dem voters this time after you move them to the new district. Especially the much-coveted independents. But yeh, to your point, the dems got scams going. And if that voting "rights" scam bill passed there would have been lots more scams spinning out of that.
Yes, redistricting is not the nightmare imagined for democrats and that good. What is also to their benefit is republicans are losing legal challenges to their maps left and right, which is good too. The politico tracker is pretty good: https://www.politico.com/interactives/2022/congressional-redistricting-maps-by-state-and-district/ Coincidentally North Carolina’s Republican map was just struck down: https://www.democracydocket.com/cas...gressional-partisan-gerrymandering-harper-ii/
