The filibuster is now little more than Rand Paul's sole means to make Americans listen to libertarianism.
Of course he’s plagiarizing Trump but it’s a step in the “right” direction. Biden Signs Order Boosting Federal Spending On US Products https://www.zerohedge.com/political/biden-plagiarizes-trump-made-america-executive-order Maybe someday politicians will stop sending money overseas and just send credits to buy American made in the USA products and produce instead. Harder to filter money back into political coffers I guess....
American protectionism is a solidly lefty/dem issue? The plagiarizing happened from Trump who went anti-GOP line on this issue.
? Without looking them up..... I’d say most companies who outsource and produce overseas lean left. Trump was all about bringing that back into the US. I’d venture to say most of those companies donated to Biden.
the right's been historically capitalistic. The left's been historically pro-worker's rights. Protectionism aims to protect the domestic workforce and is inherently anti-capitalistic. It's a dumb idea and dems have abandoned, it doesn't change the fact that it's a left leaning idea.
A little conflation of economics but Democrats gave up on the blue collar working man 20 years ago. Outside of protecting their union donations they care nada about the middle-class. Along these lines I enter the next example of horrible Biden decisions. Americans still awaiting coronavirus stimulus checks as Biden reportedly offers $4B to Central America Meanwhile, many Americans have not yet received their $600 stimulus check https://www.foxnews.com/politics/americans-covid-stimulus-checks-biden-central-america-aid
PPE? My argument was Trump pushed the Buy American, Made in the USA, repatriating overseas business. Biden is using a similar Buy American motto. Whoever says it I like it.
