Democrats need to be honest about oil, this country needs oil.Even my climate warrior friends were bitching when gas was 5.00 a gallon.
shortsighted as the issue will only become more slanted w/younger voters. How does it compare to police reform for instance? The youth vote came in strong for Biden, keep breaking promises of an ever-shrinking pool of issues and they won't have a reason to show up again.
Partly the oil reserves, which is now down to just 371 million barrels.Cant depend on that forever.Willow drilling is supposed get 600 million barrels. How much not drilling in the US is really helping overall when other countries drill as much as they want and do nothing to stop climate change? Is The US supposed to forever be dependent and begging The Saudis for more oil?
Why is the demographic of Asians not separately counted as well? Because it would highlight the low interest among Blacks in any climate related issues?
Sounds like they found a creative way to stem price increases. I say increase the limit of the fed reserve and fill it when prices are low to slap down greedy comps if we're not willing to impose price caps on oil. and as video points out, admin went out of their way to also make the deal profitable for Conoco-Philips....they would've walked away if admin had worked it in such a way where they were not legally in hot water and still unprofitable for CP. As I say, the legal fight would've been worth politically if admin was willing to paint CP and "federal society judges" as the "planet killing" bad guys in this case. yes, I think we all know why energy prices went up, and yes, energy is a nat. sec. issue as Carter found out. And yet we're still here with prices coming down as the conflict drags in stalemate. Nevermind we could shore up our energy security by ramping up renewables, nuclear, and hybrids/ev's or being more selective of how we source our oil. Same reason as native Americans or inuits are not I guess. I'll let you figure it out.
Well, quite a percentage difference in representation. Makes we wonder why we have no qualms at having a sizable portion of taxpayer money out of our pockets diverted to certain minority groups who are not invested at all in issues that our society needs to tackle.
