This was also from Morning Consult and much more recently. Though it is only GOP voters, of course. Still, it doesn't change the fact that migration to Florida is at record highs, people are visiting it at levels higher than pre-pandemic ones, he is solidly going to win re-election (even the Democratic gubernatorial commission pulled out supporting his competition). All because he is (supposedly) "maniacal". Sure, buddy!
Again, this doesn't take away from the massive migration and domination the man has in his own state. And this is in spite of the massive propaganda campaign that you and your fellow lefties have been pushing against DeSantis since the beginning. That's quite an achievement.
The only thing keeping DeSantis in office in 2022 is the weakness of the available Democratic candidates in Florida. His probability of winning the 2022 gubernatorial race is not an affirmation of DeSantis -- it is confirmation of how poor the leading Florida Democrats candidates are in organization and support. Keep in mind that DeSantis barely won his previous governor's race -- and that was against a candidate, Gillum, who was found with drugs and male prostitutes in a hotel room with a lengthy history of corruption during his tenure as mayor of Tallahassee.
No one knew DeSantis back then, so it was understandable. It had everything to do with how close the race was. Now, the Democrats know he is unbeatable. They won't put anyone forward to challenge him because they know it. And believe me, they would if they could. They don't want him as a contender for the Presidential election. They want him done now, as you do. Because you all know how popular he is with the general public, and he's made you all look like fucking fools by going his own way and being successful. That is why you hate him so much.
Interesting that the 4 Republicans Governors from New England are ranked #1 #2 #3 #4 They are like the SEC conference of politics
Good Riddance! It was a stupid idea to start with -- for the most part helped well-to-do middle class families rather than the poor. I had to skimp and save to fund my kid's college educations without taking loans. Why should others --- who enjoyed spending their money on frivolous purchases and vacations be off-the-hook for paying back college loans. Where is the personal responsibility to pay back your debts.
