    So I think the big point after the top line debt relief is the option to cap 5% of income on repayment. That’s huge.

    Still like my idea better of 0% interest and retro all payments to the principle balance.

    Se la vi. You can’t say he isn’t a man of his word on this.

  7. She might be right....I always found it squirrly that a president can wave awya debt of stafford and plus and other subsidized and unsibsidized federal loans... sounds more like a congress budgeting thing..

    Probably is but DACA got Hispanics off Obamas back even though it wasn't certain he could do that by EO or that it would survive court challenges.

    No doubt this SC overules this unless they get the money paid off and can't get put it back on students credit before they rule.

    She is right. Everyone - even Pelosi - knows that this is a political ploy for the midterms. The problem that Democrats have (like Republicans, they are extremely short sighted) is that this will only work once. It won't really help much with midterms, and then Biden won't be able to pull it back out when it matters to him in 2024.
