A curious thing about Biden resigning is that it may actually be that youngerish Leo Vardakar, the Irish PM, who's surprise resignation straight after having an old chat with Biden on St Patrick's day, did so as a moral example to Biden to light the way. Leo had a few political reasons to go but really nothing that politicians don't weather all the time. Also Leo was still a popular leader with nobody especially blaming him for some setbacks. Overall people found that a qualified youngish family doctor was a comforting leader to have through the pandemic, his mind was good. That his even younger replacement is named Simon Harris is... Well an odd coincidence there. Leo has still not given a solid reason for giving up leadership beyond a vague, he was no longer the best man for the job. Maybe St Leo was guiding St Joe?
When the big central government starts falling apart on it's own, I think you begin to understand why an-cap theory holds water. Donald Trump became president in 2016, didn't do such a bad job relatively speaking... and he just might win a re-election. Technocrats should let all that sink in.
Stating things as if they are settled business does not work with either FF or me. Trump did a terrible job. If somebody took a car that was low on horsepower due to a timing issue to a mechanic, and the guy instead of addressing that installed a NOX system... Well yeah, it went faster for a bit. We suffer from having quite a lot of knowledge of course.
Ah yes, the curse of knowledge. Technocrats be like... we know too much, we know better than everyone else... at least we think we do. Until they don't. I genuinely hope your autogyro never has a problem in flight Tux. But, I'm too old to bet on it. P.S. I made some subtle edits and encourage you to re-read this post.
I live in a country that is largely in a state of ancap. There's hardly a police force you would recognise, they do traffic and corpses. Lawyers are out for themselves only. Near everything else is a civil matter including assault and theft. Get your own shit back. It results in a self-organized society where some cling to religon and strong man leaders, and the better people can only say "no dar papaya", don't give any opportunity to be exploited. Every fucking road to anywhere is now a series of tolls and the original public roads destroyed. Its OK.. In a kind of feudal, might is right way, however only a webbing of socialist programs keep it from returning to the true ancap days of the past. It really, really, needs more technocrats.
An-cap is not a proposal. An-cap is a theory that best describes reality. An-cap lays bare all the poli-sci marketing and bullshit. This is why you live in a state of an-cap... we all do and that won't change. Just my 2 cents.
I won't argue that an-cap, in some sense, reflects the realities of all societies by emphasising the power of private interests and informal networks in shaping the world, regardless of state institutions. But again, the presence of antisocial predators, narcissists, sociopaths, and psychopaths.. Brain fuzzy, I must go to Alien Romulus to see what Ridley Scott has to say about an-cap.
