A 2nd Trump term will be tough but Biden being rewarded with a 2nd term after his awful 1st term and betrayal to progressives and minorities would be worst imo.If Biden is the nominee in 2024 Im voting republican, even if its Trump or Dumb ass Desantis. Not because I have turned right wing but to give a big fuck you to moderate democrats.Personally Im done voting for or donating to moderate democrats(I actually donated 100.00 to Senima a few years ago:vomit:).If I cant get a progressive democrat let us all suffer under republicans.

You should order one of these in advance so you can put it outside your front door after the 2024 election.

Blacks gave us Biden who had a history of racism and being republican lite.No surprise he isn't fighting for them now. They need to wake the fuck up.

When it comes to the presidency blacks choose the democrat nomniee. From now on they better choose a progressive one if they want me to donate, volunteer and vote for that nomniee.

It's clear though that most new Democratic policies have been blocked by the Republicans. So you are rewarding destructive government behavior. Now if you elect a clown again ( like Trump or Bush Jr. or DeSantis ), it's on you when they predictably are a disaster. Passive or somewhat ineffective leaders are better then destructive disasters. We all knew the first Democrat after Trump would have to spend most of the time cleaning up the mess left behind.

Objectively speaking, the current Republican party is a disaster that acts more like a fringe party then one that deserves to run a country.

Who will pay if Biden cancels student debt?

Lawmakers are continually pressuring President Biden to cancel student loan debt. Whether it’s the $10,000 per federal borrower he promised on the campaign trail or a more aggressive $50,000 per borrower proposed by progressives, someone would have to foot the bill.

Nearly 43 million borrowers collectively owe around $1.7 trillion in student loan debt and haven’t had to make a single monthly payment over the last two years thanks to a pandemic-inspired moratorium on repayments. The moratorium is set to expire on May 1, and lawmakers are seizing the moment to urge Biden to again extend it or commit to cancelling student loans altogether — especially with midterm elections looming.

Cancelling $10,000 per borrower would cost the federal government around $3.73 billion, while the estimated price of eliminating $50,000 per borrower would tally near $1 trillion.

Taxpayers already bear the brunt of student loan defaults, and analysts note that rising debt would exacerbate their burden. A report from the Bipartisan Policy Center suggests the cost to taxpayers will rise alongside an increase of “generous repayment and forgiveness plans.”

And then what do you do going forward after you have established such a precedent?

I agree with you. It is a moral hazard. What about all the people who scrimped and didn't take expensive vacations so they could keep student loans to a minimum?

I'm sure those of us that paid our loans off won't get any treatment. Most of us have turned Republican by now, or independent at the very least.
