  3. And yet betting odds for Joe’s election chances declined significantly according to oddschecker.com. At least there will be plenty of “Drinking money” to go around.

All that says is some delusional Trump supporters bet on Trump. Betting odds merely reflect the expectations of those who choose to bet on such things. The real odds of him actually winning are getting lower all the time. I'm sure there are some hard core supporters who think a mixed race VP candidate can't win. We see some of them posting on this site.

Where on earth do you think Trump is getting new votes from ? The newly unemployed, the people impacted directly by Covid, women, minorities, people who work in sectors negatively impacted by his misguided trade wars ? T

  5. How Trump can win in 2020:

    1. Increased support from business owners, including immigrant and or minority owned - These business owners have to be increasingly fed up over the Radical Leftist destruction of businesses and scaring off customers. In addition, rule of law does not seem to apply in Democratic politically controlled riot zones. Further, the Democrats have been known to shuffle around the homeless into business zones, reducing “Quiet enjoyment” by potential customers when shopping or dining. Bonus concern: Business owner fears of the return of Obama era excessive regulations.

    2. Increased support from property owners, including new immigrants and minorities - I’m not just talking about Antifa destruction and occupation here. I’m talking about “Block busting” efforts of Democrats that I personally know about in Portland, OR and Austin, TX, where the city either directly or indirectly buys condos or homes in established communities and creates subsidized housing for people, some of which have a criminal history, leaving the people who thought they were investing in a safe community to be left out to hang and dry. Some of these efforts may be related to structuring attempts of closely contested voting jurisdictions.

    3. Increased support from Whites over renewed fears of disenfranchisement as seen during the Obama Administration.

    4. Increased support from men over over renewed fears of disenfranchisement as seen during the Obama Administration.

    5. Increased support from the Jewish community - Trump recognized Jeruselem and Kamala is talking about a transaction tax on trading.

    6. Increased Black voter support - There seems to be increasing perception among Blacks that real opportunities are created by a strong economy, not decades of lip service by politicians. Trump did not ask for Covid, although he did mishandle to crisis. Then again, would any US politician have done better? Cuomo on your mind, eh? Another debate. Even after the Covid hit, the US economy has rebounded sharply. Trump, the Fed, and Congress get a well deserved round of applause for that one. Details later in a future post. Although not top of mind in voter’s minds now, Democrat’s widespread efforts to remove water supply purification chemicals could cause voter backlash. Especially after a disease outbreak.

    7. Trump may gain net support from those opposed to war - Trump has not initiated new wars and has actually reduced US involvement in ongoing wars. In addition, the recent peace treaty between Israel and the UAE happened on Trump’s watch.

Not withstanding the above, I personally am not fully committed to Trump. Trump did pardon Blagojevich, the influence peddling Democrat. The Republicans do nothing, at best, when it comes to policing their own corrupt politicians. Then there’s Mitch O’Connell. Further, racists and a disproportionate number of plainly stupid people seem attracted to Trump, making me question if I am with the right group of people. You would not believe some of the things I hear at the terminal of the Trucking company I’m am contracted to. However, even my Somali never Trumper friend says things you wouldn’t believe.

Progress, or the lack thereof, on the investigations into corruption of the FBI, CIA, and key Democrats may be the difference in deciding the outcome of the 2020 US Presidential Election.

All in all, I believe Trump chances of reelection are high. Should we have a fair election, I will fully support our President or new President, and hope others would at least give the President, new or old, a chance this time.

  6. Trump's re-election campaign is in desperate need of speakers worth their words.

Trump ridiculed for RNC speakers: ‘Nobody wants to be associated with this historic disaster’

Word began to leak out on Saturday as to the speakers at next week’s Republican National Committee Convention.

The event will be largely virtual, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and is set to be held against a backdrop of two hurricanes hitting Louisiana.

Fox News posted a graphic on Saturday identifying a dozen planned speakers. Included are President Donald Trump, Vice President Mike Pence, first lady Melania Trump, senior White House advisor Ivanka Trump, her brothers Donald Trump, Jr. and Eric Trump from her father’s first marriage and half-sister Tiffany Trump from her father’s second marriage.

Also included are House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), Sen. Joni Ernst (R-IA), Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC), Gov. Kristi Noem (R-SD) and Ambassador Nikki Haley.

Annie Karni, White House correspondent for The New York Times reported that White House officials would also be taking the stage. White House social media director Dan Scavino, trade advisor Larry Kudlow and senior advisor Kellyanne Conway will speak.

Trump defense attorney Rudy Giuliani will also reportedly speak.
