Biden announces 2024 reelection campaign

  1. There are literally millions of women more qualified than Kamala, but your point is well taken. Yes, it's a small pool of people to be considered but I have trouble believing it was only 2 or 3. Had they taken the time to do a thorough and exhaustive secret there could have been dozens of qualified women in politics and the private sector who would have taken the job. They were just lazy in their search for a VP, and it could also be argued that knowing Biden was so weak a strong VP would have made him look all the worse. It also protected him from being removed for being unfit due to his continuing decline in his cognitive skills. In that regard she was a good choice which got him through the first term, but now with a second one approaching there is a very real possibility that a now very old and mentally unfit Biden won't finish that term which means a president Kamala. Other than the full-blown lunatic left, not even the democrats want to see that.

  2. Tomato, tomato. Spell check, the refuge of those losing the argument.

Never point to someone's "ignorance" while showing your own.

  4. There was no exhaustive search because the plan was short sighted for immediate short term results. The immediate results were achieved and then people realized that they are now stuck with a problem and I believe they have no way out of it. I think Kamala knows she is in way over her head and could be the Pailin to Biden in 2024 and she has to be figuring out a way to salvage this.

She cannot step down and be replaced by a white man..... she cannot step down and be replaced with a far left candidate...she cannot step down and have it just be handed to someone else.... I dont see a clean way out to be honest and this will be a real hurdle in addition to Joe's age etc..

Can't disagree w/that at all. We're not all ready to have the hostage killed by walking away though. I said on here a while back "prog or bust" for 2024 but there's no one realistically there to challenge Biden; plus Bernie delivered the final blow a few days ago. "prog or bust" wasn't me protest voting, just the sentiment of how I think a large number of dems are feeling, who'll sit it out ___establishment dems having sunk the election.

MAGA keeps shooting themselves in the dick though, but electors have short memories. We'll see how much hurt this debt ceiling fight inflicts and carries thru 2024, and if MAGA can tone down the culture wars lest they keep their fascism fresh in dems' memories.

I said before repugs were better off absorbing the democratic party and progs becoming the new left...but they've chosen to abandon democracy instead. Capitol Hill dems would rather have MAGA back than a prog in the oval, that much is becoming clear.

Trump was horrible for the country and the underprivileged. Great for high earners in DC so to them it's "not that bad".
