It still doesn't make sense to me. A Nazi could launch a campaign on killing Jews and mean it, I still wouldn't vote out of "the principle that he'd be true to his word".
After the last 2 years of Biden and democrats I have gained a certain amount of respect for politicians who do and try to do what they say they will do,even if I disagree with what they are trying to do.
Yeah, the appeal of the extremes in the GOP to someone who'd make a claim of being on the left makes me question the strength of their convictions. Here's another definition for you: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyperbole
My progressive convictions are still here and will always be.Politicians convictions and betrayal has just moved up on my conviction list.
hence the point of the hyperbole. Liz Cheney is not "literally Hitler", and you've walked back wanting to vote Trump or DeSantis due to Biden's inaction on policy. So clearly, these two have crossed a personal line. What I'm saying is, prioritizing a politician being true to their atrocious convictions above all other progressive ones makes no sense.
If there were a progressvive candidate who could win I would vote for them over Cheney, who is the only right winger that I can think of that I would vote for. My vote and donation in 2024 is a fuck you vote.If I vote Green Party its a fuck you to Biden and other democrats like him.If I vote Liz its a fuck you to Biden and MAGA/Desantis etc with a little support to her for fighting Trump.
