Sure. Spectrum meltdown and he thinks he knows what's good for children. One would think that these guys would learn their limitations and just avoid them but no, they just keep hitting their heads on their low ceilings. Are you any relative of Buy1Sell2? He is a bit Asian you know.
Some top universities place more merits on essays than GPA. Other top universities place more merits on GPA than essays. Other top universities prefer more well-rounded students. Heck, some universities even want you to do an in-person interview. I have seen students with a perfect 4.0 GPA, SAT 1500 but did not impress in their personal interviews nor were the student a well-rounded person. Result - they were not admitted. Instead, the student had to choose a different top school that placed more merit on GPA and did not have an interview process. Regardless, more prestigious universities are placing more emphasis on essays with a good GPA whereas in the past the schools only looked at a good GPA. Simply, entry into college today is more difficult and a lot different than entry into college +40 years ago. Therefore, naming schools attended without mentioning the year of admission and the degree obtained is pointless. wrbtrader
You can't have a cool college without cool students. Clamoring to change what made Harvard a household name across the world without understanding the intrinsics of it's success.
How many Gen-Xr's does it take to change a light bulb? Who cares... they are now gonna be too busy honoring that which they signed.
Schools dont want robots that can ace a standardized tests but have nothing to offer via their other components. That is why the essay, recommendations, activities, extra curriculars etc. are so important. With AP and Honors classes so many kids have above a 4.0 GPA. Colleges all have said they want more info to make the decision on the academic and personal record without even touching race/ethnicity/geography (harvard does not want 80% massholes).
Obviously not a true statement. The case reached the Supreme Court because colleges were using race and ethnicity as a criteria.
The point was colleges and universities were not using pure GPA.and standardized.test scores.alone.even if.you took out race/ethnicity. So to say colleges.will only use.numbers is ignorant. A.1560 SAT candidate.can be rejected if they.dont offer anything else besides a high test score.
