Be leaders, influencers of others, people who will be known to the world. This is something Harvard looks for and part of what makes Harvard's formula a cut above. Makes Harvard, Harvard.
It's a gimmick to sneak in affirmative action students with low test scores. It's not just Harvard. This is a big issue in the University of California system.
Its a gimmick to keep boring Asian kids with money from ruining the cool vibe. Also national security a bit. When you are paying that kind of money, and trust me my girl has a PhD I know about ivy league costs, you expect a great education AND many of your classmates to be big deals / a good experience. My daughter started her own company in 3rd year selling it for quite a nice amount, ordinary college kids don't pull shit like that off.
LOL ... you tried to have a serious discussion about race, with one of ET's most well-known racists. Once banned, he'll change his identity again and do better at staying under the radar. There are several of them currently that I call the ET Ku-Klux-Klowns--can't miss'm. As long as their averaged intelligence is below that of minorities ... they remain pissed at the world. Enjoy trolling the trolls.
Yeah.. No. There are enough to fill Harvard ten times over (or a few) at double the fees. My mom's family are old money and the system of 'legacy' is foundational to US future leadership. Its not about dollars, its about the culture of the elite and them being able to get their kids into good schools. It's is what it is. Mind you many recent CCP moves have made a lot of rich Chinese rethink.
The racism in this thread is against Asians, and it's very transparent. The system shouldn't be rigged against them.
It's racist to deem one race to have more "personality" than another race for purposes of rigging college admissions, and that's what this case is about. What is "personality" supposed to mean in this context other than not putting seriousness in one's studies first?
