The usual stabbing pains, it's like living with migraines in the wrong place. I'm starting a new project with an industrial designer to play around with medical 3d printing.

This is because of the successful apartheid system in America continuing past the 1960s surpressing generational wealth and example/ aspiration, not because of any fundamental inferiority as described by Murray.

The Flynn effect has a ways to go in the US "black" community, I use quotes as there is so much mixing of genes, few are truly black anymore and even if they were, I've lived in Africa and there's nothing very different about their minds to ours. It's just culture.

The simple fact is that many whites hate to see a black family with anything as it makes them realise they are the real genetic losers. Only the weak get too interested in The Bell Curve.

I myself was classed as a lesser white by Prof Richard Lynn. Magically however Irish kids dramatically improved their IQ test scores in their lives without changing their DNA. All it takes it a little wealth and enough university educated parents around to expect the same for their kids.

IQ is only one dimension of measuring a person. I wouldn't call it inferiority. Call it diversity. The Bell Curve had only one chapter on race.

The Flynn effect has had plenty of time to operate in fifty years of affirmative action, and there are next to no gains in test scores.

The Irish and Jews were misclassified by early crude psychometric testing, that probably had a political component. Not the SATs or GMATS.

The Bell Curve is a piss poor excuse for science.

Fifty years ago new mechanisms were developed to replace the US' most codified system of racial laws in the world. White only mortgages and housing, engineered parental seperation and so, so much more.

Don't get me wrong, it's not often when I'm visiting the US I don't want to get irritated with some black man or woman for being a dick but I know this is just the US' rubbish culture, in Africa where I worked for many years it was totally different.

The IQ tests used with the Southern Irish by the KKK interviewing asshole protestant bastard Lynn ;) are the same as used in the Bell Curve i.e. modern and nobody is arguing the tests were not reasonably accurate with some allowance for Irish kids not taking them as seriously as English. The issue is the genes did not change and the same kids by the end of their education were on a par with their English counterparts. This took over 50 years from independence to really kick in, 2-3 generations of university educated.

The Bell Curve is modern phrenology, correlation and causation not dealt with in a educated manner but handed over to hard-of-thinking white guys with a hard bias. If you could see black people perform at the level I have you would not hold those views. Of course I was brought up half US conservative largely southern American (pre 1970s/Nixon) so I had a lot of casual racism in my conscious and subconscious to work through.

Only today seeing how the mechanic had not set the steering wheel centred after brakes and alignment I was muttering about the stupid Colombian fucking retards who can't do anything right but that stereotyping is not really racism as I know they are not genetically inferior. Maybe a bit short but even that's changing rapidly.

I can tell that you didn't read it. One small chapter on race.

The book is appreciated best by inferior whites who want to feel less inferior.

Its certainly true that there are plenty of white American racists with the yellow fever.. Finding Asian woman particularly sexually attractive seems to allow them great leeway. Ashkenazi Jews are not a fully realised race in my opinion, the Ashkenazi are like myself, a product of significant selective breeding though not as deliberate and spanning more generations. I may be wrong as that's just a feeling with no science to back it. My mom's family really got into the idea of good breeding material a long time ago.

Murray and Lynn just did not do good work according to their peers and that's important.

I have read The Bell Curve, in the late 90s or early 2000s and I found it too much at odds with my personal experience of black people in Africa.

Charles Murray remains very influential among policymakers and academics. Most of the criticism of Murray and Lynn is ideological.

Asians have also suffered a lot of discrimination in US history and somehow manage to score above the white average. How is that?

At the Ivies, Asians are the new Jews

The Ivies would have us believe that their holistic admissions policies limit Asian admissions because Asian applicants tend to be one-dimensional, obsessed with academics to the exclusion of all those wonderful other personal experiences that the Ivies value so highly. I submit that this is nonsense. An abundance of Asian applicants have punched all the right extracurricular and community-service tickets to go along with their sensational academic credentials, and there’s no reason to think that Asian young people are, on average, any less compassionate, charming, industrious, or otherwise of good character than applicants of other races.
