  4. I'm not so sure of that. At the very least you are going to have a combination of angry Bernie Bros and Yang Gang supporters who are going to be pissed off at the democrat party when their candidate does not get the nomination. They will be holding that grudge publicly and loudly during the general election when everyone is supposed to be united against Trump.

Black voters are angry that illegal immigrants are getting priority and media coverage above their own political needs. If the VP by whoever wins the nomination is not a Black person then you can count on Trump winning because Black voters will stay home.

Blacks are voting 90-99% against republicans since Trump took office with high turn out.More blacks voted for Doug Jones than for Obama.Twice as many blacks voted in 2018 than 2014,90% against republicans.2 weeks ago black voters voted 99% against the guy who based his entire campaign on Trump, with high black voter turn out.

How John Bel Edwards won the Louisiana Governor's race

"John Bel Edwards won with African American votes and African American turnout," political analyst Ron Faucheux said. "The 51% that Republicans got combined in the primary fell to 49% in the runoff, and that was largely due to increased African American turnout."

Edwards spent much of his time in the closing days of the race in predominantly-black areas, trying to bring more black voters to the polls. During the last week of the campaign, Mayor LaToya Cantrell stumped for the incumbent governor.

"This race really proved to be rural vs. urban, and Governor Edwards really performed so well in all of the urban areas," said pollster and analyst Greg Rigamer.

The strategy worked overwhelmingly. By the time final results came in Saturday night, Edwards had secured about 99% of the African American vote, according to WWL-TV's election analysis

By 9:45 p.m., WWL-TV called the election for Edwards because 93% of returns had come in, and the majority outstanding were from predominantly black districts, which had broken universally for the Democrat."

'Black Votes Matter': African-Americans Propel Jones To Alabama Win

    December 13, 20175:37 PM ET

When Sen.-elect Doug Jones, D-Ala., addressed his cheering supporters Tuesday night in Birmingham, Ala., one of his first shout-outs went to his African-American supporters. As well it should have.

Black voters made up 29 percent of the electorate in Alabama's special Senate election, according to exit polling. That percentage is slightly more than the percentage of Black voters in the state who turned out for Barack Obama in 2012. And a full 96 percent of Black voters in Alabama Tuesday supported Jones, including 98 percent of African-American women. "Black women led us to victory. Black women are the backbone of the Democratic party," Democratic National Committee chairman Tom Perez tweeted Wednesday morning, "and we can't take that for granted. Period."

Black Voters Propelled Blue Wave, Study Finds

African-Americans increasingly associate GOP with Trump, racist rhetoric

Democratic wins in the 2018 midterms were driven largely by African American voters — particularly black women — who increasingly associate the GOP with President Trump’s perceived hostility toward people of color and immigrants, according to an analysis released Monday.

The report by the NAACP, the racial justice nonprofit Advancement Project, and the political action group African American Research Collaborative found that across competitive elections 90 percent of black voters supported Democratic House candidates, compared to 53 percent of voters overall. It also found 91 percent of black women, 86 percent of black men and 50 percent of white voters believe Trump and the GOP are using toxic rhetoric to divide the nation.

“This poll dispels the myth of black voter apathy,” said Judith Browne Dianis, Advancement Project executive director. “Clearly black voters are not only engaged, but they are central to the resistance against Trumpism.”

Get-out-the-vote campaigns organized by the NAACP, the Advancement Project and other groups drove record numbers of black voters to the polls, said Jamal Watkins, NAACP vice president of engagement. Nearly twice as many African-Americans voted Nov. 6 as in the 2014 midterm cycle

Poll: Overwhelming majority of black voters back any 2020 Democrat over Trump

    10/7/2019

An overwhelming majority of black voters — 85 percent — said in a new Hill-HarrisX poll that they would choose any Democratic presidential candidate over President Trump.

The survey, which was released on Monday, found this sentiment to be particularly true among black voters along partisan lines.

Ninety-eight percent of black voters who identify as Democrat, and 72 percent of those who identify as independent said they would back whoever ultimately becomes the Democratic nominee over Trump. Just 12 percent of black voters who identify as Republican said the same.

Disagree.Trump is enemy #1.Even with the angry Bernie Bros Trump only won by 78,000 votes in 2016 and got 3 million less votes overall. Not many people are going to be so devastated Yang didn't get the nomination that they home because of it

Black leader on South Bend city council endorses Biden over Buttigieg
By Owen Daugherty - 11/24/19 08:19 PM EST

South Bend, Ind., Councilman Oliver Davis, the longest-serving African American man on the city’s Common Council, has endorsed former Vice President Joe Biden for president over his town’s mayor, Pete Buttigieg.

Davis said it's encouraging to see local representation in the crowded Democratic primary field, but he felt Biden’s experience set him apart from the upstart 37-year-old mayor, according to Politico.

“When you’re flying in the middle of a storm, you want to make sure you have steady, experienced leadership,” Davis told Politico. “I believe that Vice President Biden has demonstrated throughout the years by having a steady hand, he can help lead us through these times, and with all of the challenges we face nationally and now even internationally, he has the relationships, has the skills, and I think he can bring us together in different ways.”

Davis’s support of Biden underscores Buttigieg’s struggle to gain support from the black community, and Davis rebuked Buttigieg for the continuing issue, saying it’s “not a new problem for him.”

“For us, this has been a consistent issue that has not gone away,” Davis said.

Davis is the vice president of the nine-member Common Council and was a part of it for the duration of Buttigieg’s time as mayor of South Bend.

In response to Davis’s endorsement of his opponent, Buttigieg on Friday said he respects “him coming from a different place politically.”

“Obviously, no one person speaks for black voters in South Bend, and I’m proud of the black supporters who know me best from Indiana and from South Bend who have not only supported our campaign but traveled with us and helped tell the story of our community,” Buttigieg said during an appearance on CNN.

Davis added that Biden is a candidate who “has an understanding of the Midwest” after being on former President Obama’s ticket in 2008, when Indiana last went blue.

“What he’s doing nationally, it’s not a fluke. It’s real,” Davis said. “His numbers are real throughout the country because people know him.”

  10. Gaffe Alert!!!!

The Joe Biden is going out on an 8-day bus tour. So by about wednesday or so his tongue will be totally, totally detached from his brain- if not already. So I am predicting some first class gaffes sometime after the middle of the week. We know he can do it.

I could be wrong though. I would have to see his schedule. I mean these are not Trump-level rallies he is doing and they may still have him on a half day schedule even though he is on the bus tour. A couple stops at the diners and to have some tuna casserole down at the Elks club while talking about growing up in Scranton might be within the range of what he can handle. Not sure though. But Biden rallies are generally considered to be a place where a person can get some rest, including for Joe.

I guess when he announced that he did not really need to win Iowa or NH to get the nomination that did not reflect well in the polls. Yup. Joe is the voice of experience in politics they say. He has been an idiot in politics longer than almost anyone else.
