What dem establishment? This is a right wing narrative that they roll out every time Sanders loses to try to divide the democrats.

  2. After SC, Obama and a bunch of power brokers told Buttigieg and Klobuchar, they aren't going to make it, good run, but it's time to coalesce. They both dropout. They call up Beto. Then they all endorse Biden into Super Tuesday. He gets a bunch of other endorsements. After Super Tuesday, Bloomberg realizes half a billion dollars wasted on winning American Samoa was a bad investment and gets behind him as well. The only one who didn't get behind Biden was Warren, because she tries to have the support of both the progressives and establishment. She'll probably never have establishment support unless it gets H2H against somebody even more to the left. It's kind of like when Ted Cruz started getting support from people who never would have considered him until his opponent was Trump. Biden says she's on his short-list, but I'll be shocked if he picks her. He'll likely go with somebody more moderate. Klobuchar and Harris seem to be the most likely picks (even though Harris pretended to be more to the left than her record indicates in the primary). I like Klobuchar, because she's a straight shooter.

I thought after all of your Horowitz, black voters don't matter,Biden will never be the nominee,Warren will be the nominee posts you would have shut the fuck up by now.How many times do you have to be wrong before realizing you have no fucking clue what you're talking about?

  5. Yeah, black voters were clearly the most important voting bloc in this election. It is true that black voters stuck with Joe the whole time as whites left him for others. Then Clyburn gave him an even bigger boost. If blacks had abandoned him like whites did then he would have been toast. Non-Bernie whites were clearly abandoning Biden and gravitating towards Buttigieg before SC.

Black voters were clearly the most important voting bloc in this election but also every democrat primary election.Me and Usual Name repeatedly stated that while Tree frogs dumb ass went on and on for months saying the black vote wasn't that important and that Warren would be the nominee.

I think a lot of people are giving Clyburn wayyyy to much credit.Blacks like Biden because of Obama and polls showed Biden had the majority of the black vote the entire primary.

I don’t know about Obama having a hand in Buttigieg and Klobuchar dropping out.

I know Buttigieg and Klobuchar are Democrats like Biden is and like Sanders is not. I think the decision to coalesce around Biden was a lot easier after watching Trump’s rise and total takeover of the GOP. I don’t think Amy and Pete wanted the dem party to lurch and lose its way like what happened to the republicans. Plus the writing was on the wall for them and it’s better to be on the inside than the outside.

I used to think Stacy Abrams was a show in but now I feel like Harris is just a better fit.

I think Clyburn’s endorsement was very important. It really upped Biden from a strong win to a landslide win.

  10. His endorsement might be overrated, but it was hyped by the media going into SC. After underperforming in IA and NH, then essentially breaking even in NV he overperformed his polling in SC even though polls already showed him around 40% going in. He ended up with 48%. Bernie made his Castro comment on 60 Minutes earlier in the week and I bet Steyer fell, because people woke up and realized he couldn't win (he put all his eggs in and spent a fortune there, like Bloomberg did in the Super Tuesday states).
