Biden 2020

  1. True liberals care about as much as true conservatives cared, especially if they are Christian, to elect a man who cheated on each of his wives and peeped on his beauty paegent contestants.

  2. Joe Biden goes full Northam here. NEVER GO FULL NORTHAM!!!! (reference to Gov. Blackface).

Y'all will recall that Northrup tried to talk away his participation in blackface by saying it was the 80's and he should be not be judged by the standards of earlier times. Meanwhile, people are thinking...WTF, maybe if it were the 1880's but not the 1980's. Of course he eventually "evolved" into saying, he had no recollection of it, and then on to he was not in the picture. Okay. We are blieven' that.

But Joe gotta be Joe. That's what's important. And he did this at Gay Pride fundraiser in Seattle not at the union hall in Milwaukee. Yup. Joe knows how and where to do maximum damage with his gaffs. Always has.

I don't know about Joe, or maybe the problem is that I do.

  3. But some in the crowd interjected by saying: “Not in Seattle”.

This is the major criticism he received from the crowd? Click bait headline....

  4. It was a meeting with a group of potential big donors- not just a crowd.

If this did not hurt Joe goal of getting donations then he is all set. Personally, I dont think it helped, eh?

  5. Well I read it a few times and the POINT being made by him is that people were somewhat OK with gay jokes in public but now we are more aware and will not tolerate it. Whether that is true or not is debatable as the audience let him know it was not true. The problem the point in his head was that we have progressed to where it is no longer acceptable in public to ridiculte someone for being gay but what came out of his mouth was gargled.

One of those things that sounded better in his head then the way it came out.

I think people who know him will understand the intent and will end up being nothing.

As I said the donors in the audience spoke up for their city but did not seem to shout out in arms against him and criticize him the way the headline implied. I will give FOX credit if they can make anything out of it haha.

    Tony Stark likes this.
  6. Joe seldom makes a fatal gaff but he is always 'splainin and has to figure out how to get out of splainin mode. This has been his history too. If you be splainin all the time, you are not winning. Some splainin befalls every candidate but there has to be times when that is not happening. 1% Joe.

  7. I do think we are in a new era of not paying too much attention to gaffes judging from last few elections.... This was not really a gaffe because of what he meant.

But he will be the target of more attacks in the debates so he will have to learn to explain his past better but he has time to prepare. The other clowns are new to this and might go so overboard they commit murder suicide like Christie did. DOn't be surprised if when the next round comes they re shuffle the deck a but better. My PREDICTION is Warren will commit murder suicide and take someone down with her.

  8. You can survive with gaffs if you have some compensatory mechanism or savage personality to over- ride it. Trump flooded the zone with his animal magnetism - to his supporters anyway- which caused them to overlook A LOT. Now, exactly the same scenario is occurring in the UK with Boris. He is up to his arse in scandals and bad conduct, but continues to flood the zone with his savage personality. He may or may not win but at least he has a successful package for being competitive despite A LOT.

But Joe has no compensating factors other than that he has been around for a long time. You can't just be within a bandwidth between outright idiot at the bottom and then you successfully recover back up to basic doddering and tottering at the top of the bandwidth. It is death by a thousand cuts. A slow grind down where people end out liking him but not voting for him.

    1% Joe.

What the exact relative value of gaffs might be, I dont know. But it is beyond debate that Biden's handlers are managing the bejesus out of him and his exposure to avoid having him walk into self-inflicted wounds. If they are not worried, I am not. Except they are- and I dont care, just more popcorn for me.
