Bidding 50.01 when spread is 50*50.02

  1. Bidding 50.01 when spread is 50*50.02:

    is it a smart place to bid inside the quoted bid / ask?

  4. Why be cheap over a penny?
    It shows strength in the stock and people will buy the 50.02 and play off your order (i.e. lean on it).
