Bid-ask spreads will widen as Madoff was the biggest "liquidity provider"?

  1. He lost big. Markets are going down.
So, overall, money went into liquidity.

The reason for the recent decline in volume?
  2. I dont know how many shares MADF traded, but i would be a lot its not material to the volume of stocks. If your talking about the last couple days, its because its December 15th
  3. I am sure it took longer than a few days for his 50 billion to entirely disappear.
  4. Of course.

He was trading for some years.

It's funny hearing this shit about madoff. I have had MADF mm id taken off my screen for years because of the shady shit they used to do with my orders. Anyone who has traded long enough recalls soes and preferincing mm's. I remember MADF would always fill you way past the mm guidelines of the time. I know for a fact having traded against this firm for along time before I wisened up that there is more than one bad apple at this place. IMHO many of the folks employed there are in alot of trouble.
