It's funny how Syria, Egypt and the others trying to invade and wipe out Israel is never mentioned, but they get their butts kicked and in retreat lose some of their own property in the fight and now it's considered stealing. Yalta was a big mistake but they knew it was at the time. FDR was dying and the world was sick of war. We should have armed the Germans and took Stalin out. No Soviet Union after WW2 and no Jewish State and the World would be much different now. The acquiescence to the Commies after WW2 is similar to how we felt about the Jewish problem. The US did not want them transported to the US and Europe was in shambles. The most convenient thing was to ship them off to Palestine. Just like the convenient thing at Yalta was to give Eastern Europe up. Politicians will always take the easy way out. Except for Bush of course who didn't give a shit what anyone thought.
