No...warn our fellow man about the torture that is to come then show him the way out of it. If I see a kid playing in the road, I yell at him to get out of the road. He tells me that he doesnt have to, that he has not seen any cars come by since he has been playing in the road. And he wont believe any cars are coming until he gets hit by one.
if you tell your kids "love me or i will torture you"are you loving them? can you get anyone to love you by threatening to kill them?
Genesis 6:3 (NASB) Then the LORD said, "My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, because he also is flesh; nevertheless his days shall be one hundred and twenty years."
"The longest unambiguously documented lifespan is that of Jeanne Calment of France (1875â1997), who died at age 122 years and 164 days." So if you don't believe it's a maximum (which would be wrong as shown by Jeanne Calment) then it would have to be an average (which would also be wrong as shown by anyone with eyes.)
Stu sees a quotes from famous astronomers and calls it crap because it conflicts with his anti design beliefs.
Ah, Renny, I personally don't find the fact that you don't understand how a spider can spin a web out of its ass as compelling evidence for a "superior being running the show."
The crap I referred to in rcn10ec 's vomit inducing post is not attributed to any famous astronomers . So what exactly has famous astronomers got to do with anything in it. All that fantasizing which is essential to religion seemingly has no difficulty in spilling quite readily over into the real world as far as you and one or two other exuberant Jesus pushers are concerned.
Do you honestly believe that the field of archaeology has not stumbled upon the possibility that fossils may be of a different age than the material they are located in? Can you really say something so stunningly stupid, with conviction? This is either comical or pathetic, or both. In any event it's good to be reminded that even seemingly intelligent people can completely avoid logic when it conflicts with their beliefs. That one may simultaneously be capable of operating a computer and yet believe a literal reading of the bible is difficult to comprehend.
