  2. Guy attacks a sitting senator and is out on bail for 7500? Dude is a well known leftist and gun control advocate. That alone makes it a bigger story if the tables were turned. Wonder what would happen if someone actually assaulted, say, Congresswoman Frederica Wilson ? I'm guessing it would be a much bigger story, no bail for the assailant, and probably congressional hearings would be in progress as Rev. Al called for a national day of prayer.

  4. The lawyer called it 'a very regrettable dispute between two neighbors over a matter that most people would regard as trivial.' He added: 'We sincerely hope that Senator Paul is doing well and that these two gentlemen can get back to being neighbors as quickly as possible.'

Heh. Good luck wit dat. The guy's lawyer thinks they are going to have a group hug and then "get back to being neighbors as soon as possible."

Guess what cowboy? Your client just paid for Rand Paul's house- maybe more.

Not sure the "floral defense" is going fly there in Kentucky.

Sounds like they may have undercharged the defendant because he is a doctor and they know he will lose his license or come up hearing if he is convicted of a felony. I would give that little "professional courtesy" about another 48 hours and then Rand's network will help them to see it differently.

Fourth degree misdemeanor. Jesus H. Try felonious aggravated assault and battery on for size. Coming soon.

  5. One of those "gentlemen" should be headed for prison.
