    SURE is Nobert ,+ that could have been among the many, many reasons mail order co, long before AMZN ever started; never, ever collected sales tax across state lines .
    State gov, by the multitude, still give tax breaks to farmers, muni bonds........................
    CPA = good loophole finders; for those that want to give gov more than others /go for it LOL.:caution:
    Our state cut the state sales tax on food for 3 months;
    wise idea, i bought more food . But our state has no income tax ,we like the private sector also. LOL:D:D

    Nice try but you owe a use tax to NJ on that diamond ring. Not too bright admitting to evading taxes on a public forum. I guess you don't recall that the same scheme was one of the allegations against Leona Helmsley in her tax evasion criminal case brought by Rudy Giuliani, a US Attorney at the time.

    Be that as it may, the issue with internet sales is about nexus and goes all the way back to the pre-internet seminal case Quill Corp. v. North Dakota, 1992. SALT is a specialty area of tax law unto itself.

    Bezos made more money in 13 minutes than an average worker makes in a lifetime!

    Correction: Bezos made more money ON PAPER in 13 minutes than an average worker makes FOR REAL in a lifetime.

    Bezos received a total compensation of $1.7 million for fiscal 2022. This total compensation package included a base salary of $81,840, with no bonuses, stock options or awarded stock. The remaining $1.6 million came from other types of compensation. Bezos's base salary has remained unchanged since 1998. This is actually how much Jeff Bezos makes FOR REAL that he actually puts in his pocket.

    If compared to an average worker who earns just a salary, Jeff Bezos' base salary is just $80K and he has not had a raise since 1998 in 25 years whereas an average worker would typically have a raise of 2-3% a year and many times would even receive bonuses.

    It's good to put things in perspective I guess and btw the Yahoo! article that states that Bezos makes more in 13 minutes than an average worker makes in a lifetime is this one: https://finance.yahoo.com/news/jeff...ompensation,has remained unchanged since 1998.
