  1. Maybe I'm not thinking clearly, but I feel I'd like to see it.

  2. gold bugs talking their book.

  3. but the Euro IS the german mark....

    heil heil sieg heil

  4. Most likely. We'll see what comes out of the announcement this Friday.

This is a very interesting rumour, even if it's untrue.

But for what it's worth the DEM page on the Kitco site
    http://www.kitco.com/market/dm_charts.html

does exist and the obvious question is "why only a DEM page, and not a FRF page as well?"

I guess time will tell whether or not this rumour is true.

  6. There has been a lot of discussion of this a couple of weeks ago... Stanley economists and Martin Wolf have been suggesting this recently.

Just a few days ago they were showing the quotes of the French Franc on the ticker on Wall Street.

This is just psycho-warfare. I think the euro-countries will stick together when the going gets rough.
One thing for sure is, shorting the Euro is great a bet.

Think about what will happen when the US starts raising our interest rates.

Right so Merkel just came out and said she has a vision that one day all eu members will join the euro
