Beto running for president.

  1. Beto says "I'm a capitalist"....

He is already stealing Joe Biden's thunder by taking the stance as an alternative to the Socialist Democrats.

I would be shocked if he survives the primaries. All Beto did was localize the Bernie style hype to Texas. Now that he purposely separating himself from the Socialists his time will be over soon.

Everyone wave goodbye to Beto as he skates off into the sunset.....it was over before it began.

  4. I just can't see the rabid "Bernie Bros" who supported Beto in Texas as well as that same Bernie crowd who sent money to Beto from out of state supporting him when he competes against Bernie.

They might not "hate" Beto but their support is going to Bernie. I don't think Beto will strongly attack Bernie or the rest of the field. He will be a nice guy and slowly fade away.

The only way Beto picks up serious steam and support is if Joe Biden does not run. If Joe runs it is over for Beto.

Beto fades away or becomes someone's VP.

With a field so large and the political paradigm shift in the wake of Trump who knows what will happen. Add to that there’s good chance we will see a brokered convention and anything is possible.

Keep your eyes on South Carolina. Black women play an outsized role in electing the democrat nominee and that base is strong and reliable. Who wins South Carolina, in my mind, will have the inside lane to the nomination.

  6. As we saw in 2016, it wont matter who's more liked...the DNC is going to rig for who they want. Not for who the people want.

  7. In case anyone is confused about what real life white privilege looks like it would be Beto. One thing you can always count on is for some leftist to step up and provide an example of what they accuse everybody else of. Projecting all that guilt is the only was they can show their face in public.

  9. Name anyone in real power in politics that is not an example of privilege...current President is the poster child for nepotism as well, at least Hillary was not able to ride her husband's coattails after a while.

  10. Some of that privilege exists among the minorities too who did not exactly come out of hardship even if their ancestors did- most of us have ancestors who did.

Cory Booker - for example- likes to radiate this New Jersey projects type of image. In fact, both of his parents were IBM executives and he is a Standford grad.

Kamala Harris likes to radiate the black and asian indian personna and that's fine but that includes the fact that her father was a Jamaican diplomat and professor at Stanford, and her mother a world renounced cancer researcher phd/md.

No one in my family or neighborhood started out with parents who could show the way to the upper echelons of corporate or academic life. Both Kamala and Booker got a nice leg up.

I dont exactly have a problem with that. It's all for the good. Except when they talk as though the whole country is a big dump that never did anything, anywhere for anyone and probably owes them some cash as part of a reparations pay-out.

That's my issue with Fauxcahontis too. She didnt exactly come from privilege and I could give her points for that if she had not gone goofy. She comes from a hardscrabble Oklahoma heritage. As I have said before, A PERFECTLY HONORABLE STATUS. She ends out going to Princeton and then becomes a professor at Harvard and a U.S. Senator. But no, in the lefty world of identity politcs, it is not enough and she tries to add this native american bullshit to her resume to get bonus points, as if somehow being from poor whites is not good enough for the east coast and west coast voters.

    set flame= off.
