  1. Just read this thread and let me tell you this from a guy that was foolish enough to buy traderBAD.

Even I would run like the wind from this guy. Shogun your answers to the questions asked by the members of this forum are so canned and obvious and your salesmanship is ridicules.

You became a sponsor on ET to make money from signing up new members to your service, that is obvious.

You need us,we don't need you, so lose the attitude.

The arrogance of these vendors never ceases to amaze me.

  2. Folks, Don't laugh, this is a real question if BDT ever comes back here. Their swing trading service publishes a newsletter each night (nothing to do with chatroom), for a working guy like me who can't watch the screen or chatroom all day (only in between phone calls).

This disclaimer here is confusing. My question is, does each "line item" in the performance report include scaling and re-entering if stopped? Does each "line item" combine the data and indicate it as one trade? Do I need to subscribe to find out?

    Michael B.

Scaling in, scaling out, stops and re-entries are standard practice with our service. This data does not include costs, dividends or any other known or unknown variables which may or may not have impacted the trades. Notice that all trades that do not make at least 2% are considered as losses and are highlighted in red.

  3. whenever i decide to purchase a fine luxury car i DO get the opportunity to 'testdrive' it first without any obligation on my part.
now why would a car dealer allow such a thing?
    because the car sales itself!
they know that if i'm in the mkt for a luxury automobile that all they have to do is get me in that car and im going to drive home in it. why? because the quality and service that goes along with the purchase. im never chased by pushy salesman or hit upside the head with high pressure sales tactics because the quality of the merchandise speaks for itself.

you can not expect someone to put up money 1st before test driving the vehicle.

    think about it.
would you buy a car that you never drove?
would you purchase a family home without ever stepping foot in it or atleast a modle of it?

    think about it.

  4. Thanks. I'm sure I can get my own answers.

All I wanted was the click sequence to get to intraday stuff. I was provided to me by PM.

    I am more of a do-it-yourselfer.

Getting the answers was not difficult.

    OK folks,

This was an informative and entertaining thread to read over the weekend

    BUT

are we not at risk (again) of throwing out the baby with the bathwater?

I mean, I understand the objections that some of you have about exaggerated claims by vendors. I have learned to disount those and they don't bother me.

Not does it bother me if a vendor does not offer a free trial - it's their business and they should run it the way they see fit. If I know what they want, I can make my own decision whether I join (maybe for just one month) or not. $200 is not a large amount of money if I have any legitimate reason to want to check a service like BDT out.

    Here's my thinking:

    1. If Shay really has a way of giving traders the heads up that a stock is about to make a move, out of which the trader can catch something significant, even 10 or 20 cents (or, as he seems to imply, more) with about 10 cents risk, with a probability of the signal being right about 90%...

that would be a fantastic service and traders should consider paying what he asks for it.

    2. Are we (ET) getting so defensive, and so ready to attack eveyone who is not conforming to what we think is "proper language" that we are stopping good traders and educators from even wanting to address this forum? That would be terrible and would undermine what we all came to ET for in the first place.

Therefore, my suggestion is to put aside any "mob instincts" however fun they may be at times, and let Shay speak and answer honest and polite questions, so that we can make up our minds (individually) whether he really has something of value to offer.

    What do you say?

You obviously didn't read the entire thread - especially the repeated honest a polite questions that were not answered.

It amazes me that people can say "well, I ignore the claims - but I'll try the service.." - huh? Why would you want to ignore the lies and deception of a vendor and still give them money? Makes no sense to me - smacks of "hoping" that maybe those claims are actually true.

    Quah,

Yes, there were some half decent posts but the majority of what's posted here is a bit too aggressive, imo, even for ET. For example, at the start of the thread, Ms Barker deserved much better treatment... etc, etc.

We have all seen the IBM commercials that promise to solve every problem (yeah, right) and the soap commercials that promise eternal beauty, not to mention our politicians who would not know what to do with truth if it hit them on the face. This is the society we live in: commerce-oriented, driven by hyperbola. I don't mind that and I've learned to deal with it. Most of the time, I can find my way through the stuff to what's really happening and make good decisions.

Yet, underneath these overly "optimistic" statements, sometimes there's value and sometimes there's none. All I say, we need to keep our cool so that we stand a chance of finding out which is which here.
