True, While you may not be able to totally eliminate your risk you should be able to soften the blow by bringing yourself closer to neutral should you be caught long when us markets finally open. Naturally you wouldn't be able to elimate all of your risk. Your best bet would be +vegal positions (if you don't want to close all position EOD).
