I apologize if this question has been brought up many times, but I did a quick scan through the past few pages and couldn't find the exact information I was looking for. Anyways, I'm currently in the process of getting my feet wet in designing trading systems and was wondering which software programs available would suit me best. - I am only looking for historical data, real time data is of no importance to me at this time - I have an intermediate to advanced knowledge of programming and it is essential that the program I use gives me a high degree of flexibility - Since I will not be actively trading I am looking to spend as little money as possible If you guys could help me I would greatly appreciate it. Also, if anyone feels that one program is far superior to others please let me know. I am always willing to try out their trial version and find out it may in fact be worth the money. Thanks again!
