What's the best utility package out there for keeping a computer lean and mean? Would really be interested in what you pro's (Nitro, Gnomey, Baron, and the usual suspects) use, and if it's just as powerful as off-the-shelf stuff. Diskeeper http://www.diskeeper.com/diskeeper/diskeeper.asp I only have version 9, but always use it to keep the hard drives running fast and efficient. Can set-up schedules as well. Spybot Search & Destroy Ad-aware both found on Download.com are good for spyware. McAfee Firewall for software firewall I use. Those are a few suggestions to keeping the PC in great shape. Best protection way is to keep the PC you use for surfing and downloading seperate than you use for Trading/Investing.
Great JM, Now if someone can post a powerful registry maint., and uninstall programs, I think we'll have the major bases covered. I've been using adAware for years. Nice. * The reason I put an uninstall utility up there is because the Windows app. always seem to leave files and dead shortcuts all over the place.
