Best/useless Indicators/studies for 1min and 5min?

  1. Why not ask the wonderful *cough* staff at eSignal, you might get an answer in a year or two.

    :p

No but seriously, I look at price, and I trade price. I don't trade based off an indicator specifically to determine entry. I look at price to determine my entry, and I use other indicators, like moving averages and S&R to determine my R/R and such.

i am a micro-scalper learning&trading , trying to get whatever chart stuff i need setup. I use pretty much just the 1min chart. do you use the open book and level 2 for print and etc a lot.

  4. The one minute time frame is useless in trading (great for brokers raking in commissions). Teen age boys getting their first jump is usually a done deal within a one-minute time frame, but for trading futures like ES the best time frame for a daytrader is the 5 minute. When daytrading play with the same deck the others are using.

    Have fun today. :)

  5. parabolic SARs can be helpful when you integrate it with other indicators. They can clue you in on entry/exits.
