The goal of your activity should be to relax and NOT think about trading. Do whatever activity fosters that approach. I personally like golf & hiking. cheers,
i use mountain biking for exercise, and meditation for relaxing and sharpening the brain before the market opens.
For starters, golf isn't a sport. It's a game. A highly skilled game, but not a sport. If you don't sweat, have a dress code, and ride a cart, how can it be a sport? I think sports or any game or endeavor that is competitive in nature and requires some amount of skill and practice is worth pursuing and is beneficial to trading. The process of becoming good at something and being put in a pressure situation.. no matter what level be it beer league hockey to the PGA Tour can only increase your ability to withstand the trials of trading. I"m partial to hockey myself. Controlled chaos in a rink.
Golf can be very rigorous when you are carrying your own bag for 18 holes in 95 degrees. Of course, I don't do that...
