  7. Thanks guys. I can remember growing up and listening to my dad's records. He had a couple hundred records -- everything from the early 60's up into the late 70's.

I was actually brought up with 60's and 70's music while growing up in the 80's.

I'm not sure if it is just me, but a lot of the music today just doesn't capture the feel and heart of living. There's too much bubble gum pop music and a lot of the alternative bands just play rehashed stuff that has been played before.

However, the mid 60's to early 80's seems to be one of the best periods for rock and roll.

Does anyone here still own a record player or 8 track tapes?

  8. Out of all the concerts that everyone has been to, what concert would you say was the best you've ever been to? How old were you and did anything memorable happen?

Did any of you guys make it to the original Woodstock?

  9. bronks

    bronks

Monsters Of Rock, LA Coliseum...can't remember what year that was.

    Mettallica--was OUTSTANDING
    Dokken--SUCKED
    Scorpions--Sucked
    Van Halen (Hagar)-- OUTSTANDING

Greek girl with green eyes I hooked up with--OUTSTANDING
Greek girl with green eyes I only got to make out with and never saw again--DOUBLE SUCK
Looking for my ride after the show alone in that neighborhood (those that have been there know). TRIPLE SUCK

I'll never forget during Mettalica, two huge football jocks getting the crap beat out of them by a swarm of metalheads in the pit because they had no pit etiquette. Quite a site that was. Good show.

  10. metallica with the san francisco orchestra was by FAR the best rock show EVER. secondly, early U2 club gigs were excellent.

    best,

    surfer:)
