    Hi all!

Newbie here. I was wondering what's the best simulator software for beginners for start practicing with? I'm currently using TOS paper trade, but there are a few issues:

    1) Delayed data. There are a few videos explaining how to get real time data through TD Ameritrade's website, but the same options are not appearing for me as I'm logging into TD Ameritrade's Singapore website which is a little different.
    a. Anyone based in Singapore able to advise on if it's at all possible to get real time data?
    b. Is it at all possible to get real time data without funding the account? I'm not yet 100% sure if I want to use TD Ameritrade Singapore as a broker eventually, not especially when it's USD10.65 per order
    2) Unable to add study filters in Scanner when in Paper Trade mode
    a. Unable to filter by ATR, Moving Averages, and more
Do any of the above come across as deal-breakers when it comes to finding a good simulator? Or am I overthinking it?

How does a free screening software like TradingView differ from say, the screener in thinkorswim, DAS pro or Trade Ideas? What will I be missing out on with a free screener?

    Any advice is greatly appreciated!

I would suggest trying to design a system, and manually backtest by hand.

You will start to see things that most can't if you spend thousands of hours doing this.

The whole simulator, video game thing, I guess is valuable...but I never did it.
