Best retail broker for my needs?

  1. Is the maintenance margin overnight $14,300 for ES (without charging extra fees)? That's all I would expect.

I've had an account with @CannonTrading_Ilan for a few years now. It's been great. Competitive commissions, multiple platforms, good email/call support. Definitely recommend

I have an AMP account too. I know it's cheap, but they're support is rough at times. You get what you pay for in life.

  6. If you're brand new, try Tradovate. You get the brokerage and the trading platform all in one, with no commitment. Plus they have low daytrading rates, decent commissions, a good browser-based interface, and a pretty nice mobile app. It's really a great comparison point for other services.

  7. I think that ES overnight is $10,600. That might have changed since I last checked, though

Much higher, $12097.51 as of yesterday. The margin is constantly changed subject to the market swings and news release almost daily. It is the only company you have to keep track of changes. Other retail brokers are generally at a fixed margin.

  9. Yeah $10,600 is the minimum required by the CME, I think. Looks like IBKR has their fluctuating, which is kind of annoying.
