I sent an email yesterday afternoon to support about my account. I have not heard back yet and it's noon already. Not acceptable.

Our typical expected turn-around time for email is about 24-48 hours, however we have had a large influx of emails recently and this response time has increased. We have recently brought in a good amount of support reps to help with the additional load and they should be up to speed in the next few weeks.

One other thing I'd like to mention is the variety of ways to contact our Support Department. For issues that are more urgent, I would suggest calling in or using LiveRep (live chat with a support rep.) Using these venues for more immediate needs and email for less urgent issues, will also help to improve the overall support levels.

For information on the different ways to contact eSignal Support, please visit our Contact Us page.

I am the Product Engineer for the eSignal Desktop API and wanted to add my 2¢.

    The Desktop API offers:

    - Access to quotes
    - Access to tick and history data
    - The ability to link symbols across applications
    - The ability to send trading information to any trading platform

The data is award-winning and extremely accurate, however there is currently a limitation of around 200 real-time quotes on a typical box, unless some multi-threading code is added to the application. We hope to double this number in the next release. There is plenty supporting documentation, examples and technical support which can be accessed through the file share and forum.

    Give it a try!

  5. I compared Realtick and Esignal today.

Esignal is fast, but Realtick a little faster.

I also have no problem tracking over 1000 symbols on Realtick.

Realtick still seems to be the champ. Anyone think they are better?

    Oh...and Qcharts was pathetic.

  7. 200 symbols ain't award-winning in my book. In fact, it's an absolute joke. Any API and feed worth its salt will deliver any set of symbols at any time. But then again, few software engineers today know how to work an Ethernet packet and tend to respond slack-jawed when asked about the network protocol.

Our awards are on the accuracy and depth of the data, not the speed of retrieval. There are many, many variables that affect how fast a stream comes in or quotes being received. We offer a faster and more direct feed, but at a much higher price point and is catered to firms and third party developers, with the intent of redistribution. The limitations are more contractual, not technical and are mostly set and enforced by the exchanges. If you are interested in the Standard API, please call us directly.
