  6. As far as I remember there was a cap on how much someone could earn in Cuba - around a few hundred USD worth per month I think.
    Other than that - illiteracy is lower than in the US and there's free medicare if you can stand a hot place like Havana. It also seems there is a few cops on every streetcorner and in both ends of tunnels (and so on ...) as almost everyone are employed by the government anyway ...

    I have to admit I don't know much about Cuba except for what I read or watch on tv, but living under a dictatorship is not exactly my idea of quality of life.

    I can also assure you ..... you would not be living under a dictatorship....thats why this is a very sad situation we have 90 miles away... imagine being a cuban born citizen and living in the island all your life and not being able to rent a room in lets say the MELIA COHIBA...unless of course you are the doctor who is carrying the tourists bags to their rooms...
