  1. Yes, in the northern of Sweden (and Norway and Finland and Iceland and Greenland) the sun shines all night in the summer.

  2. Why not? That's one I always keep on my list of places I'd like to live. Haven't been there yet but I'm going to check it out later this year.

My personal reasons are that it is northern hemisphere (important to me), very pretty, nicest climate in canada, 'easy going' (from what I hear) and has a large ethnic immigrant population with significant numbers of the ex-yugoslav diaspora. No doubt those aren't everyone's reasons for picking vancouver, but they are important to me.

  3. A nice ranch house on 17-mile drive, overlooking Pebble Beach and the Monterey Coast. Not as exotic as Italy, but good livin' nonetheless.

Depends on how much you want to spend. Best place to stay would be the Hotel de l'Opera - their restaurant is one of (the !?) best in Toulouse. There's another very nice stay near the airport in Blagnac: Hotel du Cercle d'Oc. It's the preferred place for most of my customers. A must try!

Nouvelle cuisine and very cool is Michel Sarran, 21, bvd. Armand-Duportal. Michel and the owner of the restaurant in Hotel de l'Opera "fight" over the question who is the best.

If you like fish, I'd recommend the Hotel de Beaux Arts near Pont Neuf. If you're into veggie stuff, try "La faim des haricots" in 3, rue du Puits Vert. Or pick any restaurant around place Victor Hugo. Some good restaurants also in the rue des Blanchers between Pont Neuf and Pont St. Pierre.

Best Cassoulet (local speciality) in Restaurant Au Gascon, 9, rue des Jacobins. Good duck dishes there as well.

Books have been written on wine and dine in Toulouse, so if you need something specific, PM me - I'll help you gladly.

    A+

  6. Delaware is a great place to live in the states. Been here for 14 years. No state sales tax. Very low property taxes. Only 2 hours from DC or NYC. Property values are starting to get out of hand but that is mostly anywhere now a days. Bad thing Delaware is the 5th largest state with a high cancer rate per capita. We only have about 700,000 people in the whole state.
But, great place to call home.

vancouver is a great place, hugely diverse, and acts bigger than it's size for both good food and jazz. and really, beyond that, what else does one need? :)
