For those that are interested, I was channel surfing tonight and the MTV Real World is in Cinque Terra. I don't know if it's just for a few episodes or if they are doing the whole season there. But wow, that place is awesome. The only problem now is you expose it to the world and now it's going to get overcrowded and too expensive. But I have to say, from everything I have seen of that place and read about, that has to be one of the coolest places in the world and one of the most beautiful. It just doesn't get that much better then Cinque Terra. I wonder what the broadband is like there.
My top choices would be Italy (pretty much anywhere) and anywhere along Croatia's Adriatic coast (my preference is for the souther coast), although if you want infrastructure you would concentrate on Split. Edit, also Greece, too. I don't know much about it yet, but I just bought a car and I'm going to go driving around Greece in the coming weeks so I'll learn a lot more. But I love the people and the lifestyle though. Those are my choices, but also for the rest of you, you could also consider Australia. I have lived in Melbourne and Sydney and I can say with almost complete certainty that anybody that goes there would agree that they are fantastic cities and they would love to live there. Also Queensland's coast, which I have only visited, is great for those who love great weather all year round with loads and loads of tourist attractions.
yep, we're looking at setting up a satellite office somewhere along there. maybe Split, maybe one of the smaller towns, not sure yet. i'm not big on "best" kind of labels, all i'll say is it is as beautiful as any coastline on the planet.
nothing like Toulouse in south-west France on the culinarical border between continental France, south France and Spain. like the romans used to say: ubi bene, ibi patria
Yes, Cinque Terra, Italy. Which includes the towns of Monterosso, Portofino, Corniglia, Vernazza, Riomaggiore, and Manarola.
