A slight downward tilt of the desk on the mouse side, and forearm resting on it with a slim mouse is about the best for strain vs vertical mouse. A bit of laminated or whatever. Minimise the bend in the arm. May require some DIY. This is a great mouse for me, used to be sold as Jellymouse, cheap but has a clean minimal travel, and soft click, easy on the RSI. Works while charging in a pinch. https://a.co/d/j1t4HM6
. Interesting idea you share about downward tilt, etc... So, just brainstorming here... Reverse the idea. What about building/selling a product, an upward slanting arm wide wedge that flows smoothly into a square level area to move the mouse around? Would that work comparatively? Crazy ? Thanks...
Well you need to have the mouse arm going through the level where the keyboard is comfortable, so I elevated the desk edge on my side, put a wedge to keep the keyboard level and a another wedge place for things not to roll off, mug etc. There is also chair ergonomics, but I prefer a fixed leg chair, though that does not matter much.
Interesting... It would ALSO be nice to have a chair ergonomics thread on ET that would go on for many many pages with input from a lot of ETers... I LIVE in my chair... and I am always hunting for that elusive 'perfect chair'. Thanks...
