This is off shoot to Best way to profit in Crash with options post. BTW got some good tips from that, thanks. In going to implement it, see considerable bid/ask spread like 10%. Example NOV ES (Emini) option 950 Put was 27b 31.75a that is close to 15% spread. I bot 1, but had to pay full boat after 30.50 b was ignored for 30 mins. I like the size on ES better, but spread is pretty bad. Comms are nothing, the cost is the spread. I rarely trade index options. People here know more about that. What is the best index options to use for tight spreads and liquidity? Am open ND, ES, etc. Looking for options 10-20% below the current mkt in 3-10 month range. Thanks in advance.
If you don't mind trading American options, SPY has the best liquidity. If you want European options, RUT has the best liquidity.
