Best Futures trading platform? Mac

  1. I haven't tried, but I don't believe so. I use lmt-expo on Solaris.

    The only Apple product a serious trader would use is an iphone - to call in orders to a desk.

    Seriously. Note how most of the platforms so far suggested are (i could be wrong here) java or web based. Some say these arent that reliable. If you're position trading futures then this may be fine. If scalping or day trading, im afraid you'll need x-trader, cqg trader or cts which only run on PC's.

    The orders fill faster on a downloaded platform compared to a web trader? I would think the difference would be so small that it would be unoticeable.

  4. Mac runs vmware fusion very nicely. It is as smooth as boot camp. I used to use a Mac laptop.

    Maybe so - unless you're scalping.

    My point was more in relation to reliability and general up time, not so much speed.

    The last thing you need is a platform freezing on you when you're trying to pull orders 1 min before a big figure.
