I asked my cannon broker John , www.cannontrading.com what market candidates would be good for swing trading and that I didn’t want to trade markets like Big Silver or Big Crude oil because I felt I would be risking too much. John first wanted to know what my risk tolerance was, how much I expected the market would go against me and was an acceptable level for my account size, Second he wanted to know how much I was willing to risk on any single trade, then he told me that there would be many markets that would qualify for my risk tolerance and we went over them one by one, I think he identified a dozen or so markets, to find the few ones we thought would be worth monitoring for a solid trend and therefor good candidates. I think it’s best to use a seasoned broker to answer these types of questions as every market, like every stock is different from the others.
