Oh just because I eat meat I am nutritionally illiterate??? I eat lots of fresh veggies, berries, high fiber beans, whole wheat breads, seafood and other healthy things. I'm not the one who said coconut oil was healthy, that was recent research from many different sources. Things change, science gets updated. Deal with it or get run over. You've been very condescending and mostly unhelpful here. All you do is try and convince everyone of your very rigid viewpoint. We are all trying to have a discussion here and all you can do is criticize and you really dont listen very well. Welcome to the ignore list, you are my very first customer
those are good things to eat. Not because you eat meat but because you claimed iceberg has little nutrients after i posted the facts to the contrary! I gave you minerals, look up the vitamins. Simple thing to check the facts, if you are being truthful.
Harvard: http://www.hsph.harvard.edu/nutritionsource/faq.html#fruitsandvegetables3 "I've heard that iceberg lettuce has limited nutritional value. Are some vegetables better than others? You've heard correctly. Iceberg lettuce has very little nutritional value; it is mostly water and a small amount of fiber. Vegetables that are better for you tend to be richer in color. For example, compare iceberg lettuce to spinach; spinach is better for you since it is rich in iron and folate. Compare white potato to sweet potato; sweet potato is better for you since it is rich in beta carotene and other vitamins."
Veganism might be good if you are in the curative mode, it's not good if you are trying to have a real life. Anthropologists have proven that, they cannot find a single place on earth where you can get all the nutrients you need from plants alone. Here is another food suggestion: Pizza with anchovies, pineapple, olives, and tomatoes, washed down with a smooth dark ale.......... yeah!! You probably don't want to do that one very often of course...
Yes, agreed, of limited nutritional value in relation to other plants. colorful plants are better. BUT, as shittyn as it's nutritional profile may be, iceberg lettuce still kicks a bison's ass (for most nutrients) that's why i chose lettuce and not spinach. i wanted to show that even a ''shitty' plant can beat your meat!! LOL
No way you'd live longer just eating iceberg lettuce and me eating bison meat. You'd starve and die way before me bro.
who said anything about living longer? but now that you've brought it up, how the f^ck would i die sooner eating a MORE nutritional food?? you'd get scurvy and die.
You dumbass, it would take like 4-8 months for scurvy to set in, you'd be long dead from your little iceberg diet. I'd definitely outlive you eating only bison and you iceberg lettuce. No doubt about it.
Saint - None of the vegans that I have known get all the nutrients they need from food. Not because it is not there, but because it takes a significant amount of research and planning to coordinate your diet so as to obtain all the essential nutrients, minerals, proteins, etc. All of the vegans I've known have failed to do this. They are not better off for their strict vegetarianism. On the contrary, they are worse off. If you are going to advocate vegetarianism, at least provide some information as to how to achieve a well-rounded diet as the original poster did at the beginning of the thread.
