  1. I'm curious as to whether genetics, selective breeding, survival of the fittest, etc. play a role in these exceptions.

  2. if you were to take such i'd say very little. it is still fat, and too much fat of ANY type is not advised.

you might substitute flaxseed. not the oil because it gets rancid real fast, but the flaxseeds

  3. Im not suggesting everyone go out and wolf down steaks at every meal but saying that they are not all created equal. If you still want to eat meat not only can you choose leaner cuts but also go grass fed rather than corn and grain fed. There are ways to improve your meat intake if you dont choose to eliminate red meat altogether.

  4. fine. but the title of the thread is "Best Foods to Eat (Health-wise)"

"Meat" of any sort, grass fed game swimming etc, does not qualify

    you misnamed the thread

  5. I never brought meat up as "healthy", someone else did. There may be many things "healthier" than meat out there to eat but that doesnt mean I am going to eliminate it from my diet altogether. I eliminated a lot of other things like most processed foods and have been eating a lot more fresh veggies and whole grains and for that I am happy.

I generally do not like such hard line views either way, as truth usually lies somewhere between either ends. You can be a vegan all you want and thats just fine, just dont push your views on me and this thread. You've made you opinions clear, now stop harrassing every poster who mentions meat, please.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

  7. The more you open your mouth with unintelligent posts like the one below, the more you convince me that NOT eating meat is wrong. Your brain is obviously lacking something and I'd wager to guess what you are missing must come from animal protein.

Thanks but I will keep consuming some animal protein as I do not want to end up brain dead.
