you'll do ok with cnbc. Just don't drink the kool aid. After a while it gets really old. You already know what they are going to say before they say it. They constantly look for somebody with a contrarian opinion, but by definition, there are not many out there, and they constantly rotate. I like it as a heads up to know what numbers are coming out, and where I trade (over at the forex table) a new number is just like a new shooter coming out with a new point.
^Completely agree with you loyek590 plus the information they provide seems not to be in real time. I have found some of the info they talk about during the trading hours has been released on twitter a long while before they report on it. Has anyone else noticed this? For example, the Najarians report on options during the lunch hour I believe but the unusual trades they report on usually took place in the morning.
