I agree RedDuke, the Dax is excellent between 3am to 6 (europe morning) and then from 9 to 12 (following US opening). Though the first part is impossible to trade from the eastern US on a regular basis (or you are really motivated !). Apart from these hours, volatility is reduced especially before 3 and after 12 where it can be almost dangerous because of a lack of response. But it still better than other european futures at this time.
=============== Contracts that can be studied any time of the day but; Chicago/central time , is fine. ES is nice liquid & institutional, but not all the time. Mid afternoon can be too soon,sometimes, to stop.; lots more out there, as you guessed If you , Browns Fan ,are still looking for more trading opportunities; RE contracts may be worth studying,institutional help also, occasional trading.
