For Mac users, MotiveWave is the best I think. For PC users, NinjaTrader or Sierra Chart are better bets. I purchased MW only because I wanted to trade on Mac. Otherwise, I would have selected SC or NT. MW was buggy but many have been fixed in the latest build. However, MW is most expensive among these three.
Thanks, I know how to change the time frame of each candle stick with my keyboard. can you use keyboard to switch between time periods for 2D, 5D, 1M,6M, etc...like you would on a yahoo finance chart for example. sierra is only letting me change the time period through the "days to load box" in chart settings.
%% NOT with IBD charts you can not /i sill like them they auto do 50dma 200dma. BUT most broker allow that. 2 days is pretty well useless; except for entries. Any chart can be improved by printing; errors are more obvious + can be corrected/ever vtry to correct 3 computer charts @ the same time??,
That's not been my experience click on live chart and put in a number press enter , if chart is in minutes will change in minutes too , and same for days , but if you want to go from minutes to say 3 days . put in 3 d , d changing it to days , and then m if you want to change to minutes .
Sierra Chart provides numerous ways to change the period of the bars in a chart. You are able to specify any time period per bar that you require. https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/ChangingPeriodOfBars.php """ Type the new period from the keyboard and press the ENTER key on your keyboard. As you type, the characters will appear in the title area of the window, assuming the title bar is wide enough to see the standard text and the additional characters being typed. The window captures the keys as you press them. Example: With an Intraday chart, type 10 and press the ENTER key to change the bars to 10 minutes, assuming it is a Minute based chart currently. If it were currently a Range bar chart, then this would change to a 10 Tick Range per bar. With a Historical Daily chart, type 5 and press the ENTER key to change to a 5 Day bar period. """ In a 5m chart and want a 30 second chart? type in 30s, enter. make money.
TradingView looks cool, but I'm still looking for a platform where I can pull in my external machine learning Python code for signal generation. Any recommendations so I don't have to develop my own front end? Regards, PTR
My personal opinion: CQG is the best but not cheap for the CQG IC. Q trader is amazing if you dont need more than one chart open a t time. Sierracharts and mutlicharts great value for the money. RTrader pro has some very nice features as well as full market depth. These two ate "new kids on the block " but has some interesting features. https://www.cannontrading.com/software/quantower https://www.cannontrading.com/software/overcharts-trading-platform There are really quite a bit out there, depending on ones needs, tools, markets they trade and budget.....
