I thought they stopped the Cut down windows Atom processor low power version, because nobody bought it, Window R or something.

No they will run, but anything not ARM specific will run in emulation so SLOW, so for a high speed task, definately avoid.

Watch the power port, treat it very very gently, so many Lenova's fail at the power port its just crazy, shame damn good bits of kit accept for that.

Got 8" Lenova tablet, port become loose very early, been gentle coming up for 2years of rare service.

I'm a little disappointed about modern Lenovo quality. The Japanese design team is great but the Chinese manufacturers skimp out of components, lowering the quality.
Use a T440s myself, have to say it's very sturdy, I stumbled on concrete stairs and used the machine to break my fall, only a few dot-sized marks, everything works perfectly. Most stuff nowadays would break into pieces, a Macbook certainly wouldn't survive it.

For automation I get fastest machines each year, but anything manual go to walmart online and get 17 inch refurbished Dells, as your skills improve manually, speed not an issue.

Sure the quality isn’t what it used to be.
But my t470 is doing fine currently.
